An interesting game for Dragons Rhoendorf (8-0) which played road game in Hanau against second-ranked Hanau (5-3). Top-ranked Dragons Rhoendorf had an easy win 83-51. The game was mostly controlled by Dragons Rhoendorf. Hanau was better in third quarter 20-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hanau to just 7 points in first quarter. Dragons Rhoendorf dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hanau's 24. They outrebounded Hanau 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragons Rhoendorf have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group South with 8-0 record. Hanau at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf's next round opponent will be ifm Baskets Konstanz (#11) at home and are hoping to win another game. Hanau will play against Bayer Giants (#7) in Leverkusen.
