Regular Season Round 7: Selcuk Univ. - Usak 77-67

An interesting game for Selcuk Universitesi (6-1) which hosted in Konya 3rd placed Usak (5-2). Second ranked Selcuk Universitesi managed to get a 10-point victory 77-67. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It looked good early as Usak took an 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Selcuk Universitesi took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 10 points. It was a great evening for American Bill Clark (195-88, college: Duquesne) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import point guard Jeremy Granger (185-90, college: E.Illinois) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Selcuk Universitesi players scored in double figures. Selcuk Universitesi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Erhan Yetim (204-87) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Selcuk Universitesi keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Darussafaka. Usak at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Vestel and Maliye Milli. Selcuk Universitesi will play against Istanbulspor (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Usak will play against Gelisim (#8) in Izmir and hopes to get back on the winning track.
