Very expected game when 13th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (3-6) were rolled over on the road by eighth ranked ALBA Berlin (5-2) 91-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by ALBA Berlin. Deutsche Bank Skyliners managed to win fourth quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ALBA Berlin dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Deutsche Bank Skyliners' 26 and made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Deutsche Bank Skyliners 33-18 including 25 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Deutsche Bank Skyliners helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ALBA Berlin have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Deutsche Bank Skyliners at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Neckar L'burg. ALBA Berlin are looking forward to face Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#9) on the road in the next round. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against the league's leader ratiopharm Ulm (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
