The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated BC Vienna (7-1) on the court of sixth ranked Gmunden Swans on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Gmunden Swans 93-76. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of BC Vienna. The game without a history. Gmunden Swans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. American point guard Joshua Brown (187-88, college: Towson) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Montenegrin forward Zarko Rakocevic (204-84, agency: Interperformances) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BC Vienna. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. BC Vienna at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Gmunden Swans is looking forward to face UBSC Graz (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
