Rather predictable result in Balikesir where leader Gure (5-0) smashed 6th ranked Bigaspor (2-3) 77-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Gure. Bigaspor was better in second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gure forced 23 Bigaspor turnovers. Forward Ebru Unal (-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard Sirin Altuntabakli (173-83) chipped in 12 points, 5 assists and 9 steals. Four Gure players scored in double figures. Gure's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Muge Gozde Inan (-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Tugba Turkmen (-93) scored 8 points and 4 assists. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gure. They maintain second place in Group C with 5-0 record behind leader Cankaya. Newly promoted Bigaspor keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Gure will face Harran Uni. (#9) in Sanliurfa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bigaspor will play at home against Edirne.
