There was no surprise when 8th ranked Randers (3-9) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Aarhus BC (5-7) 83-77 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 6 points. Aarhus BC forced 19 Randers turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Aarhus BC especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American swingman Randy Dezouvre (195-87, college: Iona) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. International guard Rasmus Soby Dalboge (191-89) chipped in 24 points and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds and forward Christian Nielsen (201-86, college: Wagner) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Randers' coach Morten Hansen rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aarhus BC maintains sixth place with 5-7 record. Randers lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with nine games lost. Aarhus BC will face higher ranked SISU (#4) in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Randers will play on the road against the league's leader Svendborg (#1).
