Date: November 21, 2012
Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked Baskent Genclik (1-7) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Trabzonspor (5-3) 90-81 on Wednesday. Baskent Genclik trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 28-26 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-90 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Henry Antwan Dobie (183-78, college: LIU Brooklyn) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international guard Firat Aydemir (187-80) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American forward KZell Wesson (201-77, college: La Salle) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Aubrey Reese (183-78, college: Murray St., agency: Interperformances) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trabzonspor moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Baskent Genclik keeps the seventeenth position with seven games lost. Trabzonspor will face Bandirma Kir. (#15) in Balikesir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Baskent Genclik will play at home against Izmir BSB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
