Regular Season Round 22: BC Donetsk - Dnipro 80-68 OT

Dnipro (#11) forced the game against BC Donetsk (#7) into an overtime, but lost by twelve points 68-80. Dnipro was tied at the half and again at the end of regular time. But they could not keep up in overtime eventually losing that period 4-16. BC Donetsk dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Dnipro's 36. BC Donetsk forced 19 Dnipro turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Doron Perkins (188-83, college: Santa Clara) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Trinidad and Tobago center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. American point guard Derrick Low (188-86, college: Washington St.) replied with 19 points, 8 assists and 4 steals and international power forward Maxym Korniyenko (204-87) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Dnipro. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 7-7 record. Dnipro at the other side keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with DniproAzot. BC Donetsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dnipro will play on the road against Azovmash (#4) in Mariupol and hopes to get back on the winning track.
