Everything went according to plan when leader Dragons Rhoendorf (9-0) defeated at home 11th ranked ifm Baskets Konstanz (2-7) 94-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Dragons Rhoendorf. ifm Baskets Konstanz was better in fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dragons Rhoendorf made 31-of-38 free shots (81.6 percent) during the game, while ifm Baskets Konstanz only scored fourteen points from the stripe. It was a good game for American Geddes Robinson (195-87, college: Utah Valley, agency: SDJ Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Latvian Edmunds Tukiss (200-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Mali forward Oumar Sylla (201-84, college: Richmond) answered with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Milos Nikolic (208-87, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for ifm Baskets Konstanz. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Dragons Rhoendorf. They maintain first place in Group South with 9-0 record. ifm Baskets Konstanz at the other side keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face Bayer Giants (#7) in Leverkusen in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ifm Baskets Konstanz will play at home against Leitershofen (#10) in Diedorf and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
