The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Dzukija as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Dzukija smashed 13th ranked Delikatesas in Alytus 101-82. The game was mostly controlled by Dzukija. Delikatesas was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Dzukija outrebounded Delikatesas 42-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Bryan Harrison (188-84, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Global Sports Plaza) had a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Giedrius Kurtinaitis (193-86) chipped in 26 points during the contest. Swingman Laimonas Lukosevicius (197-86) responded with 24 points and guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Dzukija and four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Dzukija (11-3) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Delikatesas lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with nine games lost. Delikatesas will play next round against Silute trying to get back on the winning streak. Dzukija will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked S.Marciulionio at Vilnius.
