Regular Season Round 11: ETB Wohnbau - Vechta 79-86
Date: November 24, 2012
Not a big story in a game in Essen where 11th ranked ETB Wohnbau (4-7) was defeated by sixth ranked SC Rasta Vechta (6-4) 86-79 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 23-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. SC Rasta Vechta made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. ETB Wohnbau was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American point guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The former international center Dirk Madrich (211-83, agency: Court Side) helped adding 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). SC Rasta Vechta's coach Patrick Elzie used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Croatian guard Marco Buljevic (197-87, agency: Court Side) responded with 22 points and American forward Logan Stutz (205-88, college: Washburn) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SC Rasta Vechta moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Heidelberg. ETB Wohnbau lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. SC Rasta Vechta will face Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ETB Wohnbau will play against Crailsheim Merlins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
