An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Burgas. Top-ranked Lukoil Academik faced 4th ranked Chernomorets. Guests from Sofia (6-0) smashed host Chernomorets (3-3) 121-61. The game without a history. Lukoil Academik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Chernomorets' 34 and made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Lukoil Academik forced 25 Chernomorets turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Chernomorets' players. Lukoil Academik brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a good game for American center Darryl Watkins (211-84, college: Syracuse) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds.
