Very expected game when 12th ranked s Oliver Baskets (4-6) lost to seventh ranked TBB Trier (6-3) in Wuerzburg 62-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. TBB Trier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TBB Trier forced 21 s Oliver Baskets turnovers. s Oliver Baskets were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for international Andreas Seiferth (209-89) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Barry Stewart (191-88, college: Mississippi St.) contributed with 11 points for the winners. American forward Dwayne Anderson (198-86, college: Villanova) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Jimmy McKinney (192-83, college: Missouri) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for s Oliver Baskets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TBB Trier moved-up to sixth place. Loser s Oliver Baskets dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. TBB Trier will face higher ranked EWE Baskets (#4) in Oldenburg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. s Oliver Baskets will play on the road against Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#12) in Frankfurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
