The game in Nurnberg supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked BG Goettingen (8-3) played at the court of 8th ranked NBC (5-6). BG Goettingen smashed NBC 93-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. BG Goettingen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to NBC's 30. BG Goettingen forced 20 NBC turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Ramon Harris (201-88, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Bermudas-British swingman Sullivan Phillips (198-79, college: Wash.Adventist) helped adding 9 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Zamal Nixon (186-89, college: Houston) responded with 27 points and swingman Cornelius Adler (195-89) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BG Goettingen moved-up to second place, which they share with Karlsruhe. NBC lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. BG Goettingen will face BV Chemnitz 99 (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. NBC will play against the league's second-placed BG Karlsruhe.
