There was no surprise when 7th ranked Recklinghausen (4-5) lost at home to second ranked SC Rist Wedel (8-1) 91-80 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 61-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when SC Rist Wedel made 7 blocks. Recklinghausen was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Fabian Boeke (208-86, college: Washington St.) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks.
