A very interesting game took place in Freiburg. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Eisvogel Freiburg (4-5) to ninth ranked Rhein Main Baskets (4-5) 71-69 in the game for the seventh place. Eisvogel Freiburg was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 17-12 charge of Rhein Main Baskets, which allowed them to win the game. They made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was forward Denise Beliveau (180-89, college: New Hampshire) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Alyssa Karel (170-89, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Jahzinga Tracey (185, college: Indiana, PA) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Brooque Williams (176, college: California, PA) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Eisvogel Freiburg players scored in double figures. Eisvogel Freiburg's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Rhein Main Baskets moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Freiburg and BG 89 Avides. Eisvogel Freiburg lost their fourth game in a row. Rhein Main Baskets' next round opponent will be higher ranked Wildcats Wolfenbuettel (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
