Bottom-ranked KuSG Leimen is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to sixth ranked TSV Amicitia (5-4) 89-50 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by TSV Amicitia. KuSG Leimen was better in fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TSV Amicitia held KuSG Leimen to an opponent 23.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.6 percent accuracy of the winners and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. TSV Amicitia forced 19 KuSG Leimen turnovers. It was a good game for American swingman Kellindra Zackery (182, college: Newman) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Johnette Walker (173-87, college: Radford) contributed with 25 points and 5 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Forward Martina Kraus (186-90) answered with 9 points and 13 rebounds and guard Jennifer Shinall (160) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for KuSG Leimen. KuSG Leimen's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for TSV Amicitia. They maintain sixth place in South with 5-4 record. KuSG Leimen lost their ninth game in a row. They still closes the standings with nine games lost. TSV Amicitia will face higher ranked Speyer / Schifferstadt (#5) in Dudenhofen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
