Regular Season Round 6: Electrico FC - Oliveirense 73-86

An interesting game for Oliveirense (5-0) which played road game in Ponte de Sor against second-best Electrico FC (4-2). Top-ranked Oliveirense managed to get a 13-point victory 86-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Electrico FC. Oliveirense made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Electrico FC turnovers. It was a good game for center Andre Pereira (200-90) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). The former international center Nuno Cortez (205-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Tiago Pinto (183-88) replied with 24 points and 7 assists and naturalized Cape Verdean swingman Mario Neves (190-77) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Electrico FC. Five Oliveirense and four Electrico FC players scored in double figures. Oliveirense have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Electrico FC at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Sangalhos. Oliveirense are looking forward to face Maia Basket (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Electrico FC will have a break next round.
