Regular Season Round 9: Osnabruck - Heli Girls 67-79

DBBL top team - Heli Girls (8-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Osnabruck (5-4) 79-67. The game was mostly controlled by Heli Girls. Osnabruck was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Morgan Henderson (185-88, college: San Diego) stepped up and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Finnish swingman Heta Korpivaara (186-84, college: Seton Hall, agency: Regeneracom Sports) chipped in 20 points. The best for the losing side was American forward Ali Schwagmeyer (180-90, college: Quincy, agency: Gamble Sports Management) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Jasmine Byrd (173-85, college: NC-Greensboro) scored 24 points. Heli Girls have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Newly promoted Osnabruck keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Marburg. Heli Girls will play against Don Bosco Bamberg (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osnabruck will play against the league's second-placed TSV 1880 Wasserburg (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
