Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked TED Ankara (1-5) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Istanbul Universitesi (3-3) 72-66 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-66. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Tugba Palazoglu (171-80) who scored 25 points and 8 assists. Spanish forward Anna Montanana (186-80, college: G.Washington) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Istanbul Universitesi's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin swingman Ana Dabovic (183-89) who recorded 20 points and 5 assists and Tugce Canbaz (180-81) added 5 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Istanbul Universitesi moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. TED Ankara lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Edremit. Istanbul Universitesi will meet at home bottom-ranked Besiktas (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
