Regular Season Round 11: Tornado - Musson 61-64

Fourth-ranked Tornado (4-4) made lots of trouble for leader Musson (10-0) on Sunday. The visitors from Symferopil managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 23-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Musson made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Tornado helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Russian center Dmitri Lipovtsev (207-86) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Igor Kozhevatov (195-88) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Musson's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Sergey Lapenko (196-85) produced 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Oleksandr Gudkov (204-90) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Musson have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. Newly promoted Musson maintains first place with 10-0 record. Tornado at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Musson are looking forward to face VolinBasket (#6) in Lutsk in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tornado will play on the road against BK Kremen in Kremenchuk and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
