Giurgiu managed to win second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian forward Milos Pesic (205-84) stepped up and scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and Australian swingman Daniel Dillon (194-86, college: Arizona) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Oradea players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTPA) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Bahamas center Trevor Harvey (211-80, college: Florida St.) scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oradea have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Giurgiu lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with six games lost. They share it with CSU Sibiu. Oradea are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Farul Const. (#16) in Constanca in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Giurgiu will play at home against Pitesti (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
