Regular Season Round 10: Pi Koleji - Gelisim 70-74

Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Pi Koleji (3-7) lost to tenth ranked Gelisim (5-5) in Ankara 70-74 on Friday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-70. Pi Koleji was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American power forward Jermaine Dearman (202-80, college: S.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. Center Sercan Ergin (197-83) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Gelisim players scored in double figures. Gelisim's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Can Uzun (195-86) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Pi Koleji. Gelisim moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Pi Koleji lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Gelisim will face Balikesir (#7) at home in the next round. Pi Koleji will play against Istanbul B.B. (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
