Regular Season Round 24: Azovmash - BC Donetsk 86-69

Rather expected game in Mariupol where 7th ranked BC Donetsk (7-8) was defeated by fourth ranked Azovmash (11-4) 86-69. The game was mostly controlled by Azovmash. BC Donetsk was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 9 assists. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Azovmash players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Ivan Radenovic (209-84, college: Arizona) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for BC Donetsk. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Azovmash have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Khimik. Defending champion BC Donetsk dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
