We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Dolphins Bielefeld (3-7) was rolled over at home by tenth ranked Rhein MB II (3-7) 80-56 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rhein MB II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kristin Annawald (184-93) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Lisa Janko (184-96) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Michaela Hawley (185, college: Florida Southern) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and center Katharina Quakernack (181) scored 6 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rhein MB II moved-up to ninth place in North, which they share with Bielefeld. Dolphins Bielefeld lost fourth consecutive game. Rhein MB II will face Hagen Phoenix (#12) at home in the next round.
