Regular Season Round 10: Yesilgiresun - Darussafaka 88-81

TB2L round 10 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Darussafaka (8-2) against sixth ranked Yesilgiresun (6-4) 88-81 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Darussafaka. 26 personal fouls committed by Darussafaka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). The other American import center John Ofoegbu (206-84, college: Idaho St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Yesilgiresun players scored in double figures. Serbian center Aleksandar Petrovic (204-87) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Darussafaka. Darussafaka's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Yesilgiresun have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Yesilgiresun maintains sixth position with 6-4 record. Darussafaka at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Usak and Maliye Milli. They were replaced at the leadership position by Selcuk Univ.. Darussafaka will play next round against Akhisar Bld trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Yesilgiresun will try to continue on its current victory against seventeenth ranked Baskent Genclik in Ankara.
