Regular Season Round 10: Trier - Bad Aibling 61-88

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Bad Aibling (4-5) outleveled on the road 10th ranked Trier (1-8) 88-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Bad Aibling led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Trier's 32. Bad Aibling forced 19 Trier turnovers and outrebounded them 48-32 including a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American swingman Ciara Iglehart (180-84, college: Ohio) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Alex Guyton (190-90, college: Purdue) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Bad Aibling players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Ulrike Maerz (166) responded with 25 points and 6 assists and Jana Basten scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Bad Aibling moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with Jahn Muenchen. Trier lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Bad Aibling will face league's leader TV Saarlouis Royals at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Trier will play against TG 1889 Sandhausen (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
