Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked LTi 46ers (2-9) lost to sixteenth ranked New Yorker Phantoms (4-7) in Braunschweig 65-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by New Yorker Phantoms. LTi 46ers was better in second period 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. British-Ghanian center Eric Boateng (208-85, college: Arizona St., agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four New Yorker Phantoms players scored in double figures. American LaQuan Prowell (203-84, college: Auburn, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) answered with 23 points and Bosnian power forward Elvir Ovcina (212-76, college: Syracuse, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for LTi 46ers. New Yorker Phantoms moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Fraport SKY. Loser LTi 46ers stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. New Yorker Phantoms will face higher ranked s Oliver Baskets (#9) in Wuerzburg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LTi 46ers will play at home against ALBA Berlin (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
