We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Bigaspor (2-5) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Sakarya (2-5) 65-58 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 65-58. Sakarya forced 21 Bigaspor turnovers. It was a great evening for Pelin Coskun (-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Burce Akkaya (-84) helped adding 19 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Muge Gozde Inan (-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Munevver Ozemre (-93) scored 7 points and 15 rebounds. Sakarya moved-up to seventh place in Group C, which they share with defeated Bigaspor. Bigaspor lost their third game in a row. Sakarya will face Harran Uni. (#9) in Sanliurfa in the next round.
