Very important is a home loss of third ranked Artland Dragons (7-4) against fifteenth ranked Walter Tigers (4-6) on Sunday night. Host Artland Dragons were crushed by Walter Tigers in Quakenbrueck 90-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Artland Dragons. It was a great shooting night for Walter Tigers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. It was a great evening for American guard Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Vaughn Duggins (190-87, college: Wright St., agency: Pro One Sports) helped adding 23 points. Four Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. American guard Marquez Haynes (191-86, college: Texas Arlington) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and Serbian center Petar Popovic (211-79) scored 17 points. Walter Tigers moved-up to thirteenth place. Artland Dragons at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with EWE Baskets. Walter Tigers will play against higher ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#12) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Artland Dragons will play against Mitteldeutscher BC (#16) in Weissenfels and hope to get back on the winning track.
