Regular Season Round 25: BC Odessa - Cherkasy 78-77

Bottom-ranked BC Odessa managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses on Sunday night. This time they edged eighth-ranked Cherkasy 78-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cherkasy. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-16. But Cherkasy won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when BC Odessa won last quarter 18-18. They also forced 21 Cherkasy turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Cherkasy helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Justin Love (189-78, college: St.Louis) fired 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Tyrone Brazelton (185-86, college: W.Kentucky) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists. American forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-82, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BC Odessa (4-12) moved-up to twelfth place. Cherkasy at the other side dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. BC Odessa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cherkasy will play at home against Halychyna (#6) in Lviv and is hoping to win this game.
