Regular Season Round 17: Perlas-MRU - Delikatesas 72-71

A very interesting game took place in Vilnius. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Delikatesas (7-10) to twelfth ranked Perlas-MRU (8-9) 72-71 in the game for the eleventh place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Delikatesas. They outrebounded Delikatesas 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Zydrunas Kelys (188-87) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Jonas Elvikis (195-82) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Perlas-MRU's coach Erikas Kuciauskas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Edvinas Vaupsas (201-91) produced 12 points and swingman Laimonas Lukosevicius (197-86) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Perlas-MRU moved-up to eleventh place. Delikatesas at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. Perlas-MRU's next round opponent will be again Delikatesas (#12) in Joniskis.
