Regular Season Round 8: Interkhim - Tim-Scuf 50-71
Date: December 8, 2012
Very significant was Tim-Scuf's (#3, 5-3) victory against 4th ranked Interkhim (3-5) 71-50. The game was mostly controlled by Tim-Scuf. Interkhim was better in fourth quarter 12-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by international guard Inna Kochubei (174-82) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds, 13 assists and 6 steals and center Miriam Uro-Nilie (190-94) supported her with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Tim-Scuf's coach Inna Kochubei felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds by forward Zhanna Likhodid (177-80) did not help to save the game for Interkhim. Forward Olga Khalimonchuk (185-90) added 13 points for the hosts. Defending champion maintains third position with 5-3 record behind leader Bar Regina-B. Interkhim at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Tim-Scuf's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Dynamo.
