Regular Season Round 9: Gaziantep - Turk Telekom 81-69

Bottom-ranked Gaziantep managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of four consecutive loses. This time newly promoted Gaziantep won against ninth-ranked Turk Telekom 81-69. The game was mostly controlled by Gaziantep. Turk Telekom was better in third quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gaziantep had a 32-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for American guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis, agency: FCM) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois, agency: Priority Sports) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Turk Telekom. Five Gaziantep and four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Gaziantep (2-7) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Antalya and Hacettepe. Turk Telekom at the other side dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be higher ranked Banvit BK (#5) in Balikesir and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
