Another exciting game was between fourth ranked Electrico FC and 5th ranked Guifoes where Electrico FC (5-2) beat Guifoes (4-3) on the road 78-66. The game was mostly controlled by Electrico FC. Guifoes was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Guifoes 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Guifoes were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Aylton Medeiros (194-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Cape Verdean swingman Mario Neves (190-77) contributed with 8 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Four Electrico FC players scored in double figures. Center Joao Moreira (200-85) replied with 25 points and naturalized Angolan guard Joao Pereira (186-83) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Guifoes. Electrico FC maintains fourth position with 5-2 record. Guifoes at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Electrico FC will play against Leca (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
