Regular Season Round 8: Samsun - Fenerbahce 55-78

TKBL top team - Fenerbahce (8-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Samsun (2-6) 78-55. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce. Samsun was better in fourth quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Fenerbahce especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of Polish swingman Agnieszka Bibrzycka (184-82, college: Abil.Christian, agency: Data Plus Group) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Cappie Pondexter (175-83, college: Rutgers) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. American swingman Megan Frazee (191-87, college: Liberty) responded with 25 points and 7 rebounds and Hungarian power forward Anna Vadja (191-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. Samsun lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with six games lost. Fenerbahce will play against league's second-placed Kayseri at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Samsun will play against TED Ankara (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
