Tenth-ranked Leitershofen (3-8) made lots of trouble for leader Dragons Rhoendorf (11-0) in Diedorf on Sunday. The visitors from Rhoendorf managed to secure only two-point victory 79-77. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 26-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American Geddes Robinson (195-87, college: Utah Valley, agency: SDJ Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Nick Larsen (188-83) helped adding 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. American guard Lindsey Hughey (190-89, college: Weber St.) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Parnell Smith (200-84, college: Buffalo) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dragons Rhoendorf have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group South with 11-0 record. Leitershofen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Konstanz. Dragons Rhoendorf will meet Noerdlingen (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Leitershofen will play against TSV Troester (#12) in Breitenguessbach and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
