Leader Mazeikiai delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they crushed 17th ranked Silute (4-15) 90-51. The game without a history. Mazeikiai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Silute to just 7 points in second quarter. Mazeikiai dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Silute's 14. Mazeikiai forced 28 Silute turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Osvaldas Macernis (196-82) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Andrius Mikutis (193-88, college: John Brown) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. Mazeikiai's coach Aloyzas Rudys felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Marius Kasiulevicius (198-82, college: Trinity Valley JC) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Gytis Pakalniskis (205-89) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Silute. Mazeikiai (15-4) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Silute lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 15 games lost. Mazeikiai will play against Perlas-MRU (#12) in Vilnius in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Silute will play at home against Delikatesas (#11) in Joniskis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
