Very expected game when 15th ranked Baskent Genclik (3-10) lost to third ranked Usak (10-3) in Ankara 59-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Usak made 8 blocks. Baskent Genclik was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Usak moved-up to second place, which they share with Darussafaka and Maliye Milli. Loser Baskent Genclik keeps the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Usak will face Bandirma Kir. (#14) in Balikesir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Baskent Genclik will play on the road against Istanbulspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
