Regular Season Round 14: Karlsruhe - Finke Baskets 68-63

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Finke Baskets (6-8) were defeated on the road by third ranked BG Karlsruhe (10-4) 68-63 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-63. The best player for the winners was American forward Jeremy Black (203-85, college: Tampa, agency: Court Side) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Rouven Roessler (200-80) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four BG Karlsruhe players scored in double figures. Naturalized Israeli guard Guy Aud (188-89) produced 10 points and 4 assists and forward Vincent Kittmann (201-88) added 12 points respectively for the guests. BG Karlsruhe moved-up to second place, which they share with Duesseldorf. Loser Finke Baskets dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. BG Karlsruhe will meet Cuxhaven BasCats (#5) on the road in the next round. Finke Baskets will play against NBC (#13) in Nurnberg and hope to secure a win.
