Regular Season Round 12: Aistes-LSU - Suduva 67-70

The most exciting game of round 12 in the LMKL took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Aistes-LSU (4-8) to fourth ranked Suduva (8-4) 70-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aistes-LSU. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 27-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Laima Rickeviciute (188-88) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Ligita Kinkeviciene (173-76) who added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Suduva players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Neringa Skadaite (184-92) scored 18 points. Suduva moved-up to third place, which they share with Fortuna. Aistes-LSU at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Suduva is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Jaunieji Talentai (#8) in Vilnius in the next round where they are favorite. Aistes-LSU will play on the road against the league's leader Kibirkstis-Tiche in Vilnius and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
