Regular Season Round 13: Amager - Falcon 62-80

The game in Kastrup was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Falcon (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Amager (4-9). Falcon did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 80-62. The game was mostly controlled by Falcon. Amager was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Falcon outrebounded Amager 41-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Trenice Fuller (193-87, college: Hofstra) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Four Falcon players scored in double figures. Falcon's coach Ole Vincents used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) answered with 19 points and point guard Emilie Fogelstrom (166-92) added 12 points in the effort for Amager. Falcon maintains fourth place with 7-5 record. Amager lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Falcon will play against Aabyhoj (#7) on the road in the next round. Amager will play against the league's leader SISU in Copenhagen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
