Regular Season Round 13: Radnicki Basket - Konstantin 74-56

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Konstantin (7-6) against tenth ranked Radnicki Basket (6-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Konstantin was defeated by Radnicki Basket in Beograd 74-56. The game was mostly controlled by Radnicki Basket. Konstantin was better in second period 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Radnicki Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Konstantin's 26 and made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Konstantin was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Nikola Rebic (186-95) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Radnicki Basket players scored in double figures. Power forward Ilija Cvetkovic (207-88, agency: Prossin Sports Management) answered with 14 points and naturalized Montenegrin guard Petar Despotovic (194-88, agency: Alti Sport) added 10 points in the effort for Konstantin. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Radnicki Basket moved-up to seventh place, which they share with BKK Radnicki and Borac. Newly promoted Konstantin dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Radnicki Basket will play against Smederevo Vizura (#13) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Konstantin will play against Tamis (#11) in Pancevo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
