Regular Season Round 17: Pulsar - Kirovograd 80-72

There was no surprise in Rovno where 8th ranked Kirovograd (5-11) was defeated by fifth ranked BC-93 Pulsar (7-9) 80-72. After very bad start, Kirovograd stormed back in the second period cutting the deficit to 1 point 38-37. But it was not enough and BC-93 Pulsar took back the control in second half. Guard Ilya Shemosyuk (188-85) nailed 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winning side and guard Maksym Ozhegov (190-90, agency: New Trend Agency) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Oleksandr Pidiprigora (200-85) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Aleksandr Kosenkov (205-90) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Kirovograd in the defeat. Kirovograd's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for BC-93 Pulsar. They maintain fifth place with 7-9 record. Kirovograd lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. BC-93 Pulsar's next round opponent will be BK Kremen (#9) in Kremenchuk. Kirovograd will play at home against VolinBasket in Lutsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
