The game in Frankivsk supposed to be also worth to mention about. 4th placed Khimik (12-6) played at the court of fifth ranked Hoverla (12-9). Hoverla smashed Khimik 92-65. The game was mostly controlled by Hoverla. Khimik was better in second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Khimik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). His fellow American import power forward Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford, agency: Edge Sports) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Hoverla players scored in double figures. Khimik at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Hoverla's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Ferro-ZNTU in Zaporozhye and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Khimik will play at home against BC Donetsk.
