Istanbul Universitesi was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 20-9 charge of Botas, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Christi Thomas (191-82, college: Georgia) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and American-Armenian swingman Quianna Chaney (180-86, college: LSU) accounted for 17 points.
