The game with biggest result difference took place in Istanbul. Local Anadolu Efes (8-2) outscored 11th ranked Mersin (3-7) 104-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mersin. The game without a history. Anadolu Efes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin's 34. Anadolu Efes forced 21 Mersin turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Anadolu Efes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Mersin's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian Sasha Vujacic (201-84) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). International Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT, agency: 1x1 Sports) contributed with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Naturalized American forward Ali Karadeniz (203-80, college: Arizona) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American guard J.P. Prince (201-87, college: Tennessee) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Mersin. Four Mersin players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes moved-up to third place, which they share with Karsiyaka and Banvit BK. Mersin at the other side keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Turk Telekom and Olin Edirne. Anadolu Efes will play against Besiktas (#6) in Istanbul in the next round. Mersin will play on the road against Olin Edirne (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
