Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Gaziantep and 16th ranked Hacettepe had identical 2-8 record. This time Gaziantep used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ankara 78-61 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Gaziantep. Hacettepe managed to win third quarter 22-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hacettepe 48-35 including 38 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis, agency: FCM) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 21 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. American guard Cameron Bennerman (193-84, college: N.Carolina St.) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Muhammed Baygul (191-92) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Hacettepe in the defeat. Hacettepe's coach Alp Bayramoglu rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Gaziantep (3-8) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Turk Telekom and Olin Edirne. Hacettepe lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. They share it with Antalya. Gaziantep will meet league's second-placed Galatasaray in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hacettepe will play against Banvit BK (#5) in Balikesir and hope to secure a win.
