Rather predictable result in Klaipeda where fourteenth ranked Birstono (8-13) smashed 16th ranked Nafta Universitetas (5-16) 85-59 on Friday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-59. Birstono forced 25 Nafta Universitetas turnovers. Simas Raupys (195-94) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and point guard Audrius Ramonaitis (180-92) chipped in 16 points. Four Birstono players scored in double figures. Birstono's coach Marius Kiltinavicius felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Donatas Norkus (196-90) with 16 points and point guard Deividas Anuzis (181-92) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Birstono will face higher ranked Meresta (#8) in Pakruojis in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
