Undefeated leader Fenerbahce delivered the tenth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 13th ranked Edremit (1-9) 70-59 in Balikesir. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce. Edremit managed to win second period 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. International guard Birsel Vardarli (175-84) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Angel McCoughtry (187-86, college: Louisville) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Fenerbahce's coach Roberto Iniguez used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American point guard Constance Jinks (170-81, college: UNLV, agency: Merit Sports) responded with 21 points and her fellow American import Amisha Carter (186-82, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Fenerbahce (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row. Edremit lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with nine games lost. Fenerbahce will meet at home league's second-placed Galatasaray in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Edremit will play against TED Ankara (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
